Email Program Set Up

Information regarding general usage and setup of your POP email.
POP3: mail.yourdomainname.xxx
SMTP: mail.yourdomainname.xxx
(replace yourdomainname with your actual domain name and replace .xxx with your extension i.e. com, .com.au etc)

Username: username@yourdomainname.xxx
Password: (password you chose when you set up your e-mail accounts in cPanel)
POP host name: mail.yourdomainname.xxx You will need to select "Server Authentication Required" and enter the appropriate accounts username and password. Though, any setting for "Log On Using Secure Password Authentication" should not be enabled (not checked).

Checking Email via Webmail

Each account comes with several e-mail web clients. Which means you can access your email using a web browser from ANYWHERE in the world!

Simply point your web browser to http://www.yourdomain.xxx/webmail/. (replace yourdomain with your actual domain name, replace .xxx with your extension i.e. .com, .com.au etc)

Remember that your username is you@yourdomain.xxx and password! (replace the you with the name you have set up, replace yourdomain with your actual domain name, replace .xxx with your extension i.e. .com, .com.au etc)

Password: (your password)

Spam and Virus'

All Blinddog Hosting comes with Spam and Virus Protection. So anything that we believe is spam will be flagged as such so that you can set up the amout of filters that you require. Any virus' that we detect will be blocked so that your system will hopefully remain virus free. While we make every attempt to detect and stopt any virus at the server lever you should also run virus protection on your PC.
